چکیده

Various problems are studied in the field of detailed VLSI routing. According to the position of the terminals on the outer boundaries of a rectangular grid, one can distinguish between different subcases of Switchbox Routing: C-shaped, Gamma, Channel and Single Row Routing. This paper focuses on the minimum number of layers needed for solving these problems either in the Manhattan, or in the unconstrained wiring model. Besides summarizing earlier known bounds, our new results show examples for C-shaped routing problem instances of arbitrary size that cannot be solved using 3 layers in the Manhattan, or 2 layers in the unconstrained model.

Optimized Tree-Type Cylindrical-Shaped Nanoporous Filtering Membranes with 6 or 7 Branch Pores in each Pore Tree

The performances of the optimized tree-type cylindrical-shaped nanoporous fltering membranes with six or seven branch pores in each pore tree are analytically studied. The radius Rb,1 of the branch pore for fltration is normally on the 1 or 10 nm scales. The larger trunk pore is for ...

Fractal Bandpass Filter Using Y-shaped Dual-Mode Resonator for C-Band Receiver (Research Note)

In this study, a fractal, Y-shaped dual-mode resonator bandpass filter (BPF) with input-output cross-coupling is introduced. A parallel-coupling feed structure with a cross coupling has been used to generate two transmission zeroes (TZs) near the lower and upper cutoff frequency that can effectively improve the passband edge selectivity. Also, a fractal shaped based on conventional diamond and ...

Asymmetrical-fed RHCP Wide-Band Slot Element for X-Band applications

An outstanding square slot element, for x-band wireless applications with asymmetric coplanar waveguide fed (CPW) is proposed. Various shapes of metallic strips are utilized as grounded stubs for providing Right Hand Circular Polarization (RHCP) functionality and wide-band properties. By adjusting the proposed stubs and hook-shaped radiator, length and positions, wider impedance band width is o...

Upper bounds on the solutions to n = p+m^2

ardy and Littlewood conjectured that every large integer $n$ that is not a square is the sum of a prime and a square. They believed that the number $mathcal{R}(n)$ of such representations for $n = p+m^2$ is asymptotically given by begin{equation*} mathcal{R}(n) sim frac{sqrt{n}}{log n}prod_{p=3}^{infty}left(1-frac{1}{p-1}left(frac{n}{p}right)right), end{equation*} where $p$ is a prime, $m$ is a...

Gasbor: a Genetic Algorithm Approach for Solving the switchbox Routing Problem

A new genetic algorithm for switchbox routing in the physical design process of integrated circuits is presented. Our algorithm, called GASBOR (Genetic Algorithm for SwitchBOx Routing), is based on a three-dimensional representation of the switchbox and problem-speciic genetic operators. The performance of the algorithm is tested on diierent benchmarks and it is shown that the results obtained ...
